"Smoke
on the Mountain"
The second
play of our 1999-2000 season is "Smoke on the Mountain"
Opening
Thursday, Sept. 30th, 7:30pm at the Jake and Freda Stein Hall
of the E.E. Bass Cultural Arts Center, Greenville.
Other
Playtimes: Sat, Oct. 2nd, at 7:30pm & Sunday, October
3rd, at both 2:30pm AND 7:30pm (Note: no Friday performance).
The play
is set the sanctuary of the Mt. Pleasant Baptist Church in
Mount Pleasant, NC, located just west of Hickory, near the
Blue Ridge Mountains.

Saturday
night singings by gospel families have been the much-needed,
highly appreciated entertainment of the time. Gospel singing
families traditionally perform at one church on Saturday night,
and then make a few guest appearances on Sunday mornings to
other churches in the area.

The Sanders
Family is appearing there after a five-year hiatus from the
gospel singing circuit.
This
production of "Smoke on the Mountain" is directed
by Tim Bixler with Robby Scucchi serving as Assistant Director.
The Musical Director is Kathy Price.
