"Forever
Plaid"
DCS's
currently up-coming play is "Forever Plaid"
Scheduled
performances are:
Thursday through Sunday, November 12th to 14th (Each production
begins at 7:30 p.m. except for Sunday's 2:30 p.m. matinee)
The Plaids,
that classic pop group that never quite made it to the top
due to their tragic 1964 air crash, will make a special, spectoral
repeat appearance at Stein Hall (old Bass School) as a benefit
for Delta Center Stage this November. Tickets will be just
$5 students and DCS patrons, $10 for the general public.
This musical
is directed by Mary Francis Maxey and the tuneful quartet
will include repreat performances by Ike Trotter ('Sparky'),
Andy Alexander ('Jinx') and Clam Trotter ('Smudge') plus a
new performer in the part of 'Frankie', Bill Downs.
The musical
back-up includes pianist/musical director Vicki Ebelhar and
bass player "Big Earl" Bishop of Jackson. Bobby
Scucchi is stage manager backed up by a veteran crew (Sonya
Bixler, Penny Byler and Vicki Trotter), while expert lighting
is provided by Tim Bixler. Thomas LaFoe focuses on the production's
lighting.
"Forever
Plaid" was written, choreographed and first directed
by Stuart Ross.

plays for the 1998-99 season are:"Tuna Christmas"
at the year-end holidays, "Narnia" in early '99
and "The Apple Tree" in the spring. For season tickets
