A modern-day spook story that asks how you move on from a life lived in shadow. The time is March of 2004, a moment in time when the Iraqi prison scandal known as Abu Ghraib is widely known within the CIA, but still a few weeks before the scandal breaks in the mass media. In a dingy debriefing office, Parker, an ambitious young African-American female anaylist is assigned to question Finn, a veteran CIA foreign operative who is attempting to quit. Something went wrong, Finn's latest trainee has been discovered dead, murdered in his small Paris apartment. But Finn is not talking. Instead, he's retiring. Parker must find out why. But trust doesn't come easy at the CIA, and as the two operatives match wits, it becomes clear that they may not even be on the same side. "An enthralling new piece of theatre…a modern spy thriller of a quality that is rarely seen on stage." – Noah S. Guiney, The Harvard Crimson. DCS plans to take this long-form one-act drama to the AACTFest competition in the 2017 cycle.
